At the beginning of this year, I wrote in my journal, “I think sometimes I’m happiest not focusing on the depth of the piece but more on the act of creating. To make something joyous, a series of joyous moments has to happen in tandem.” This collection takes this idea of art for the sake of art, craft for the sake of craft, and extends it into a playground of abundance where playful patterns, people, and motifs entwine with embroideries and mixed media florals.
